Everyone loves a tasty spaghetti bolognese and it’s a great opportunity to sneak some extra veggies in to the sauce!
Here’s our recipe which uses the slow cooker to make it even easier.
Harvey Beef Premium Mince 500g
2 tins of chopped tomatoes
2 onions
1 clove of garlic
1 stick of celery
1 zucchini
4 mushrooms
3 carrots
1 bunch of fresh parsley
Dried Italian herbs
(add any veggies you like – e.g. capsicums, eggplant)
Chop or grate all the veggies (we used a food processor to make it quick and easier)
Fry the onion and garlic until soft in a pan or slow cooker if it has a sear option.
Add the mince and fry until browned.
Add the veggies and cook for 5 minutes or until soft.
Add chopped tomatoes and herbs and cook for 5 mins.
Close the lid and slow cook for 6-8 hours on low.
Serve with spaghetti, linguine or any other shape of pasta and top with parmesan cheese.
Enjoy!
