Operations

Harvey Beef has consolidated its position as Western Australia's largest producer of high quality beef for the local, national and international markets. Currently nearly 70 per cent of Harvey Beef is exported overseas to about 30 countries, with major destinations including Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, the Middle East and the United States.

Harvey Beef operates within a culture of continuous quality improvement in manufacturing, equipment, service and product delivery, and through innovative processing procedures that meet the highest production, safety and hygiene standards.

Currently 145,000 grass and grain fed animals are processed each year with this figure expected to grow to in excess of 200,000 in the near future.

In early 2008 Harvey Beef significantly increased its carcass boning capacity with the purchase of the business assets of meat processing facility Fremantle City Processors and this continues to operate as the Harvey Industries Processing Centre (HIPC).

Harvey Beef employs about 645 people at both its Harvey and Fremantle sites.
