Company History
The history of Western Australia's largest beef producer dates back to 1919 with a business established in Harvey by the Green family.
The location of Harvey Beef in the lush, rolling foothills of the Darling Range just 3km from the township of Harvey was well chosen and the family business which later became EG Green and Sons, grew to become WA's largest exporter of beef, with its world class export produce gaining legendary status as Harvey Beef.
A large state-of-the-art processing facility was built on a 190ha site and this was operated by the Green family until 2005. In early 2006, the production facilities and Harvey Beef came under the control of Harvey Industries Group Pty Ltd. Harvey Industries Group Pty Ltd is owned by international private equity firms Stark Investments and Harmony Capital and Elders.
