Harvey Beef owns and operates a rendering plant that, like the rest of our operations, places strong emphasis on its commitment to quality management at all levels of company procedures and customer relations.
Under the strict Harvey Beef QA system, Harvey Beef's major by-products are:
- Meat and bone meal
- Blood meal
These products are produced from mixed abattoir material including condemned offal and boning room fat and bone.
Raw materials are processed through a continuous rendering system and both screening and mechanical pressing separates rendered fat and dried cracklings. The pressed crackling is milled to produce meat and bone meal while the separated fat is clarified by centrifugation.
